Bible Object Lesson - Living Out Loud for Jesus

Use this simple children's Bible object lesson to teach a powerful Bible lesson on living our lives all out for Jesus!

Main Point:  As Christians we need to live our lives "out loud" for Jesus!

Object: Sharpie permanent marker

Bible Object Lesson:

Hang a large sheet of paper in the front of the class. (Do make sure something protects the wall behind it or that the paper is thick enough that the marker won't bleed through.)

Ask for 4 volunteers.  Give one a pencil, one a regular pen, one a crayon, and one a Sharpie permanent marker.  Have each one write their name on the sheet of paper all about the same size.

Have them stand back and look at their names.  Which one shows up more than the others?  Which one do they think will last the longest if the paper were hung out in the rain?

Ask them if they've ever seen the Sharpie commercial that says with a Sharpie you can "Write Out Loud!"

Paul tells us in Galatians 2:20 how he lived his life out loud for Jesus.  He made a huge mark on the world in which God placed him! He says in Galatians 2:20 "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me."

Webster's defines "living" as:

1. having life; being alive; not dead: living persons. 2. in actual existence or use; extant: living languages. 3. active or thriving; vigorous; strong: a living faith. 4. burning or glowing, as a coal. 5. flowing freely, as water.

Is that how we're living - active, thriving, glowing, flowing...? "Living Out Loud" doesn't have to be "loud;" it just needs to be REAL!

Challenge students to live their lives "Out Loud" for Jesus, to stand out from the rest of the crowd, to make a permanent, positive mark on the world around them.

If they have a Sharpie at home, tell them to use it during the week to  a Sharpie this week  and let it remind them to not only "write out loud," but to "live out loud!"

A children's Bible object lesson can make Bible truths come alive in everyday life. Combined with Scripture they can impact children for the Kingdom of God!
